Beauty for a cause

These are colourful  magnificent heavenly blooms on earth ! I bought them a week ago just for their blooms from a street vendor. i knew that they are famous for their cut flowers but little that i knew how difficult is it to make them flourish in my little garden.

I must have browsed almost all information and tips on growing these beauties only to figure out that they are very difficult to cultivate. But it is worth sparing your time for them if you want a vibrant garden.

Natives of Africa also known as African daisies are so popular that, for many they stand for purity innocence and cheerfulness. If you wish to  welcome multicoloured butterflies and humming birds into your green space look no further go for Gerbera.

What more ? they are on  NASA's list of indoor filtering plants for purifying and improving the quality of  the air in your home.

Keep them potted near your window sill or plant them in your garden, decorate your living space as they have long vase life up to 6-7 days . all they need is some extra care and you will be rightly rewarded!

Wish me luck as i already have an orange Gerbera  :)

gardening is really a great hobby. Once you have it it is a companion of your life like a book which neither argues nor quarrels with for paltry reasons.
