Golden Karnataka!!!!

I was watching a programme on Dd9 called 'hello friends'(hello gelayare) while having breakfast . It was shocking to see how corrupt officers were boasting  about their  efforts(i would term that as futile if there are any.) to simplify the KHATA transfer process and other property related procedures.

If you think that i am complaining about the rotten system, a tax payer walking from pillar to post to get his work done which is his fundamental right , or bribe crazy   inefficient officers and  all the thrash, then i am done with it.

But when i saw them using media to prove themselves as harmless, protective, efficient, patriots  who go by rules and regulations i could not control my disgust. To my utter horror they even went to the extent of  advising callers on how not to bribe an officer! i was wondering how would they sustain and survive if   public stops their part of  contribution ?

My disgust is much more than what an average rebellious youth would feel towards the government officials and their service towards the public, because  i am an ordinary citizen with basic needs and possible risks and unfortunately i have to deal with these culprits in the name of the law of the land..
For instance I am citing my own experience in the situation given below:

                                                                   Situation 1
Task: To get an encumbrance certificate (To prove that the property is clear titled with no loan)
In theory: Provide necessary documents and get it within 3 days.
In practice: IMPOSSIBLE
                                                                Reasons

  1. She/he would not understand your language(official i.e; kannada or english or hindi)some are even deaf and dumb .
  2. She/he will be preoccupied or busy with their house hold chores, If you ask me how ? you would catch them peeling an orange or cow peas for the dinner or garlanding flowers (familiarize with fish market) chopping onions or chillies.
  3. You are invisible. they can not see you .
  4. They go on frequent lunch or coffee breaks as they  work hard(ly).
  5. Breaks can last for 6 or more hours but they only work for 8 hours as we have just 24 hours a day.
  6. They have difficulties in reading/writing/documentation, as a result they do not perform any of these functions.
Are you still optimistic and visit them more than your friends and family to get your work done?    then:

  1. Leave your job/studies or any other commitments, because you will spend rest of your life trying to catch hold of them.
  2. self respect is a big no as they treat you very bad as per their rules.
  3. beg/borrow/steal money because you have to feed them eternally(remember: government office has loads of  people employed )
  4. You will gradually imbibe their ignorance and sluggishness as you spend most of your weekdays with them so beware.
  5. There are too many things happening in India such as elections,re-elections by-elections(Note:bureaucrats stop working before ,during and after elections)
  6. Due to their tender health and harsh weather conditions of india they fall sick monthly for a real long time.
What do you think???

A very keen observation how our nasty system works. we have never bothered to change laws of slavery by british. instead we have followed them. Any one knows what is Indian Law? Is it Manu or Mitkshara? No. It is a copied version of British Law in an Independent Nation.
