In beauty lies the danger.After watching a series of news bits and horrid pictures of uttarkhand disaster i could not help but recollect my experiences when i travelled many part of uttarakhand back in 2011.we had miserably failed to reach badrinath as we got stuck in landslide in Joshimath,due to which we were forced to stay there for a day.
En route -Joshimat,We were stranded for 6 hours until pathways were cleared by the authorities.
We drank water from nearby natural reserves and were in middle of nowhere. I could only imagine the plight of those who got stuck for more than 60 hours in the recent episode of calamity.I have travelled to many remote places in india but i must say this one was mind boggling.
We left joshimath to reach valley of flowers via govind ghat .
One of the most exciting drives.
